ACCESS STATEMENT FOR THE MEWS FLAT

The Mews Flat is a first floor apartment, purpose built in 2001. It is accessed by thirteen stone steps, approximately 10.5" deep and 8.5" high. There is a hand rail on the left hand side and a wall on the right. Exclusive car parking is at the base of the steps. The front door which is 31" wide has a slight ledge, three of the other doors from the hallway are 28" wide and the bathroom door, 25" wide. There is a wide archway through to the kitchen. It is carpeted throughout with the exception of the kitchen.

The flat is all on one floor. The L shaped hall is 36" wide with a narrow bureau along one wall.

The double bedroom has a 26" high bed with 29" access from both sides, There are bedside tables on either side and a chair to one side which can be removed.

The twin bedroom has two 23" high beds with a central access of 27" and a bedside table in between. This is a larger room with ample space between the ends of the beds and the full length wardrobes.

The bathroom has a full sized bath with shower above. There is a grab handle in the bath and a non slip bathmat is provided. (We are looking into the provision of a shower seat but so far have been unsuccessful).

The living room has the sitting area with a television, two arm chairs, a sofa and coffee table at one end and the dining table with four wheelback chairs at the other.

The kitchen leads through an arch from the dining area. It has units on three sides, a floor level oven and a gas hob. There is a unit top microwave. Units are standard height. The fridge has a small integral freezer above.
